Faerieway Events was founded by Sam, a nerd since childhood who has always loved magical worlds and adventure. She and her sister had Ronjas Helvetesgapet in the forest behind her house, played knights with her ponies and though halloween and dress up was the best thing ever. Books and films were devoured and adventures were created around the dinnertable and played out in the garden.

This lead Sam to feel that Sweden is in need of more magic, and just before the Pandemic created a teasalon that served up fantasy themed Afternoon Teas, but she quickly realised baking was not the fun part, it was planning and hosting the magical events. A new venture was started, Faerieway Events, a project to create fantasy balls and big events where you get to step into a magical world full of wonder and adventure.

The goal has always been magical events where you get to have an adventure, dance, see performances and really get the feeling you are in another realm, and she hopes to have the chance to keep creating many more events for this is in future.

    Sam

    FAERIEWAY FOUNDER

    Sam is the founder and our planning sorcerer (with wild magic, so wild magic surge and clumsiness always follows in her wake). She has lots of experience within event planning, afternoon tea organising, theatre and dressing up. She finds the locations, plans the entertainment, manages so we get the right food and drinks and creates magic for you all to enjoy.

    Alice

    Hello there! 

    My name is Alice L Frick and I am a little bit of everything here but mainly an actor, choreographer and the Master of performance. I have been a part of this wonderful team from the very beginning and it’s a project very close to my heart and soul. 

    My role as Master of Performance is to organize the performances and performers and to see who and what fits the vision for the current events and to make sure everybody is up to speed and feeling good. As an actor I act and preform and as a choreographer I create and direct the dance/stunt/physical scenes that the actors do. I take in new talents to Faerieway so if you are intresserad in being a part of our lovely little team here it’s me you should contact(I promise I’m not as mean as I look in my picture!!) 

    In the other life I am a cat mum of two, actor and dancer from an early age(mainly swing but never shy away from asking me to dance, I do it all). Currently working at a small cafe in the middle i Stockholm but dreaming of moving back to the countryside. Lover of garlic and cooking, books and reading, chips and dip. You get the picture!

    My name is Victor Bruno and I’m an actor at Faerieway! I have been around since our very first ball and have spread chaos through the figure of a clever jester and a brutal vampire maffioso!

    This winter the chaos takes a step back in order for romance to blossom in my new character; a shy, fluttering moth seeking inspiration for his great romance novel!

    In the everyday life I’m studying at Uppsala University to become a high school teacher and also working as a freelancing actor!

    Ruben Holmberg A.K.A Ruben Rask.

    An artistsoul with many strings on my lyre, but here at Faerieway I am an actor, co-creator and stuntchoreographer.

    In my everyday life I am mostly elbow deep in a creative project and I love writing scripts and composing music.

    I’ve had the honour to work with Sam and all the amazing creatives from ‘the dawn of time’ and the characters you may know me as are:

    Hi, I'm MirjaMira, the artist behind MirjaMira Makeup. One of my greatest passions is using makeup and hairstyling as an art form to bring stories, characters, and worlds to life. As  Faerieway Events makeup artist and creative designer, I work alongside Faerieway to create immersive character looks for performers, dancers, and actors that help turn fantasy into reality. Outside of my work with Faerieway, I specialize in wedding hair and makeup, fantasy themed events, and creative photoshoots.

    Engla

    Hi! My name is Engla but I’m also known as Ray (if you call out either of those names I will react to both ) and I’m faerieway’s sign language interpreter! I’ve interpreted at many of their events and I’m most easy to recognize by the fact that I’m always on stage and signing in cosplay.

    Outside of the Faerieway balls I work full time as an interpreter and I spend most of my free time working on cosplay.
