Halfling Forrest - a cozy countryside event
There is something special about driving into the forest and taking a turn onto a gravel road with trees on either side, animals grazing and little red houses dotted around. I know this feeling quite well, because believe it or not, I live in one of those red little houses. I love the quiet, the animals, the trees and the birdsong, however I find it equally exciting visiting the bigger cities and creating magical events for you all to enjoy.
This love of the countryside is shared by a certain short, food loving fantasy creature, one I have been compared to many times, the halfling or hobbit. This love of food, the countryside, crafts and music is where I took inspiration when we created Halfling Forrest! Here at farieway, we thought it was time to create a summer event filled with all the things halflings love, and share a magical weekend in the woods. This is our first summer and outdoor event, and it is as scary as it is exciting! We will be going rustic and cozy, as is the Halfling way.
Halfling Forrest will give you the opportunity to step into a world where you will learn crafts like felting or foraging, enjoy a dance to the tune of a fiddle, eat a feast worthy of a Baggins and enjoy stories told through theatre and fire. It is an event where we hope to really foster the feeling of community and cozyness. Sharing a fire and telling stories, playing instruments together late into the evening, waking up and taking a dip first thing or sitting on a picnic blanket and enjoying a show of halfling troubles (which may not always be so very troubling in the big scheme of things).
There will be two kinds of tickets, a Bergatroll ticket for whoever wants to bring a tent and set up camp to be part of the event from Friday to Sunday, and a Skogsrå ticket for whoever wants to just enjoy a day in the woods and leave when night time settles in. For more information head over to our newly launched and redesigned website, and don't forget that tickets release the 1st of March 19.00!
